dialogue story

When I was young my mom used to tell me to treat people the way I want to be treated ad that is how this story will begin. I was in the locker in the middle of the school year. There was a new girl in school.  I walked up to her and said,
     "Hi! What's your name?"
Then she said "Lenora." I asked her if she wanted to eat lunch with me.  I asked her because she looked like she needed a friend.  I think everybody needs somebody to be friends with.  I have felt like I didn't have a friend before too, and I didn't want her to feel that way.  When we finally sat down for lunch, we talked about why she had moved here.
Lenora said, "Because my parents are working on the Blue Lake Dam Project."
     "Oh cool." I said.
When the bell rang, we lined up by the wall so we could go to our next class.  While we were going down the hall, I asked her
"Could I come to your house some time?"
"OK," said Lenora "How about this weekend?"
"Sounds good to me," I said.
"Want to spend the night?" asked Lenora.
"I'll need to ask my  mom," I said.
"OK, I hope she tells you you can." said Lenora
"We better get to class before we get a tardy." I said.
     "OK, bye." said Lenora.
After I made a friend, I felt really good about myself.  I felt like i had really completed my life.  That is the story of how I met my new best friend, Lenora.

love that dog book revuie

    by: Sharon Creech

Love That Dog, by Sharon Creech, is about a boy named Jack that did not like writing poetry because at the time he thought it was a girl thing. He eventually grew to be very good at it and like it. Jack started writing poetry because of his dog that got hit by a car and died. He started writing poems about his dog, Sky, so he could remember Sky through his poems.

I think the theme of the story is don't be afraid to do something you like because of what others will think. The reason I think that is because in the story he did not like when his teacher put his name on the poems he made because he did not want the other kids to know he made them.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes poetry because it has
many poems.
